Where is SaltyDreads located?
The SaltyDreads studio is located in Aljezur, the West Algarve of Portugal.
Visits are only possible by appointment.

Do you ship worldwide?
Yes we ship worldwide via the webshop.
What material dreadlock extensions do I choose?
There are 3 different materials I use to make dreadlock extensions; wool, synthetic hair and human hair.
It is a personal preference which one to choose.

How (often) do I wash my Dreadlocks?
Wash your scalp/dreads once a week or every other week with a (natural) residue free Shampoo or Cleansing Spray.
Take a small amount of shampoo in your hands, then gently massage your scalp with the shampoo. Make sure you go all the way down to the tips of the Dreadlocks. It is very important to rinse the Dreads with water after shampooing.
And if you want to take a shower without washing your dreads, or only wash your bangs, you can use a Shower Cap.
How many dreadlock extensions do I need?
Tip; if you are new to dreadlock extensions, start with partial temporary dreadlock extensions so you can see if dreads are something for you.
Suggestions
Mini partial or accent look:
between 6-10 dreadlock extensions (single ended dreadlock extension)
Volume partial / half head look:
between 15-20 dreadlock extensions (mixed single ended and double ended dreadlock extensions)
Crown - 2/3 head look:
between 35-40 dreadlock extensions (mixed single ended and double ended dreadlock extensions)
Full head look:
around 50 dreadlock extensions (mixed single ended and double ended dreadlock extensions)
